Parenting Guide

Living in Northern Virginia means you will have the opportunity to live in a very culturally diverse area.  I love raising my children in this area because they are surrounded by a mixture of different cultural backgrounds.  My children's friends are White, Hispanic, African-American, and Russian.  I appreciate the diversity because it makes my children more grounded.  They have experienced different foods and religions that generate an appreciation for other cultures.  Moving your family to Northern Virginia can be stressful because you're not aware of the activities and events Northern Virginia has to offer your family.  The key is finding out the information so you can enjoy yourself.  Over time and many conversations I was able to get the lay of the land.  As a parent my life became easier once I found my rhythm.
